Pathlight provides Health Scores for individuals, teams, and groups. Health Scores are calculated on a scale of 0 to 100.
Only the metrics assigned a priority level (High, Medium, or Low) or assigned a custom weight are included in the Health Score calculation. How these scores are calculated will depend on a few criteria and configurations that can be customized.

How Health Scores are calculated:
Each metric is worth a certain number of points, called its weight. This will be the metric's priority level (0-3) or its custom weight defined by the organization. Weights are normalized to be on a scale of 100 points.
At or Above Goal
If the individual or team is hitting their goal, they are given full credit (the total weight of the metric)
If the organization has decided to enable "extra credit" Pathlight awards up to 10% of the metric's weight as additional bonus points based on the individual's rank within their team on this metric. Extra credit is only applied to individual goals and is not available on team or group goals.
Below Goal
If the individual or team is below their goal, then Pathlight awards partial credit equal to weight * percent to goal.
Percent to goal is defined as follows:
- for metrics where a bigger number is better (min_goal) = value/target
- for metrics where a smaller number is better (max_goal) = target/value
If the organization has enabled "half credit health score" and if an individual or team is below their goal, then only half of the total weight can be awarded in points. The points awarded will be equal to (weight * percent to goal) / 2
Once we have awarded the individual or team a number of points for each metric, Pathlight generates an overall health score equal to total points / sum (metric weights). The overall health score will never be smaller than 0 or larger than 100.
Note about Health Scores for teams and groups: since metric results are what Pathlight uses to calculate health scores, it is important to understand Group rollup: How your team's performance on a metric is calculated.
