Here we’re going to share with you all of our best practices around using your Inbox and Communications within Pathlight. You may find this similar to your typical email inbox with a few key differences.
Within Pathlight, you have the ability to view messages within multiple folders dedicated to specific message types. From the inbox you can send messages, filter messages by their category (Applause, Coaching, Announcements, Mini Goals, and Contests - which are indicated by a icon next to the sender's profile picture), view messages that have been pinned by your leaders, and send communication out to your team members or manager. Additionally, you can review any messages that require your acknowledgment and mark all messages that you’ve read through. Any activity that has happened on your 1-on-1s, message threads, or metric views can also be seen by checking out the Activity notifications within your Inbox. You will find that Pinned messages also will appear on your Pathlight home page, along with recent announcements (communications sent out to the whole team or group.)
From your inbox you can respond to any message, and, any recipients on that message thread will be able to view your comments/reactions to the message. You can respond with text, emoji reactions, embedded metrics, images, videos, or GIFs.
One thing to note around embedded metrics is that if a metric is embedded into a message, it is a snapshot of that metric at that given time the message was sent. The metric will not update within the message thread, so if you need to see that metric updated please visit the dashboard for a current view.
