Once the alert has been saved, by default, you will begin receiving notifications for this metric. You can mute those at any time by turning off the alerts for the metric, or delete it entirely if you no longer want to monitor this.
Alert Examples:
-
James Winston, SDR, just created a new opportunity, and is now 2nd on the team for Opportunities Created This Week! 🎉
-
Myra Bautista just closed a deal! 🍾 They're now 85% to goal of $100,000 for Closed Won MTD with $85,000.
-
Team Customer Care West has had a 20% decrease in CSAT in the last 7 days.
How to Create an Alert
1. Click on your profile icon in the bottom left corner and then Settings

2. Select Alerts

3. Select the New Alert button

4. Select which metric you want to receive alerts for.
Note: You can scroll or type the name of the metric you want to select. Each metric is displayed by the metric name followed by the path name.

5. Select when you want to be alerted using the Alert me when section.
There are four different types of alerts you can create:
Value: The result of the metric's query (e.g. number of calls, CSAT score, or closed won revenue)
Percent to Current Goal: The percent attainment of today’s target. For pacing goals, percent to goal tells you if you’re on track to hit your weekly, monthly, or quarterly target
Percent to End Goal: Percent attainment of the final target (or progress to end goal). For pacing goals, this uses the target set for the end of the goal period. For example, if you need to book 5 meetings by Friday, and you have 2 at the end of Tuesday, then you will be at 40% to end goal.
7d Delta: The percentage of the value has changed from its value 7 days ago. Positive deltas indicate an increase, and negative deltas a decrease. The increased and decreased values will be measured by changing the previous value or the previous day.
6. (Optional) Select which Slack channel you want to post this alert to. If your team channel is private, don’t forget to invite the Pathlight bot to the channel by sending /invite @Pathlight into the channel. Note: You will also receive a personal Slack notification when you post an alert to a team slack channel.
Note: You must have Slack integrated to your Pathlight account to see these slack channel notifications. Here is a Help Center article on how to manually integrate Slack to your Pathlight account.
