Create customized goals for individuals or teams to measure performance precisely.

When you create a metric, we highly recommend adding a goal to it, so Pathlight can help you track how well your team is performing.

However, oftentimes, your team members don’t all have the same goal. Pathlight can help with that! With customized goals you can create specific goals for individuals who might have just joined the team and are still ramping up or set higher goals for your top performers.

You can do this on a one by one basis or programmatically, based on specific filters (e.g., hired date).

Set a different target for teams or individuals

Note: You can only access the Metric settings in these steps if you have Metric editing privileges.

1. Open a Path
2. Select Three dots to edit a Metric
3. Select Metric Settings
4. Select Goal
5. Select a custom target or pacing
6. Select a default target
Note: a default target is required, even if you’re going to set up different targets for different members of your team, so just choose the target that applies to the highest number of people on your team.

7. Select “Set a different target number for a group or person”
8. Search for a team member or entire team to add

11. Select Save. Once the metric syncs, the new goals will be applied and appear in the Path.

Note: the goal flag on the Metric header will always show the default target. To see the different targets you just set, click on the cell pertaining to the individual or team.
