Where does my data in Pathlight come from?
Pathlight brings together all your data, so you can see everything in one place. Pathlight syncs data from a variety of data sources, like Salesforce, Zendesk, Outreach, internal data warehouses, and more. Your team could be syncing from all of these sources or just one. You can find out where your data is coming from by viewing your data integrations in the settings menu or by talking to your manager.
What is a Metric in Pathlight?
A Metric is an important measure of your team's performance that your management team has decided to track, like "CSAT Score Last 7D," "Calls Made This Week," or "Closed Won Revenue This Quarter." Pathlight helps you know how you're performing in each of your metrics.
What is a Goal in Pathlight?
A goal is the target your management team wants you to hit for each of your metrics. For example, you might want to hit $100,000 in revenue by the end of the month, keep your CSAT score above 4, or decrease the number of accounts you have that are missing important information.
What is a Path?
A Path is a grouping of Metrics that shows you your team's performance across a variety of measures. When you open a Path, it looks a little like a spreadsheet. By clicking on any cell, you can see a history of your team's performance in that Metric.
How can I view my data in Pathlight?
You can view trend charts of your team's performance against your key metrics on your dashboard, or see all your data in the "Path" view. To view your Paths, click on the Paths tab at the top of your dashboard.
How can I tell what data points are contributing to my metric numbers?
To really understand all the numbers you see in Pathlight, you can view all the data points contributing to them. For example, if you have a lower average CSAT score than you'd expect, you can view every rating you've received, or if you have accounts that you need to call, you can view a list of all the accounts you haven't called in several days. To do this, follow the "View Query Results" instructions below.
How to View Query Results
1. Go to your Metric dashboard
2. Select a Metric
3. Select Query Results
4. View results
5. (optional) Add a field if you want to customize the results view
6. (option) Click Run Query to view your custom results view
